Mussels by the seaside
Mr hazelh and I are staying in a former C18th coaching inn on the Northumbrian coast for a few days. We arrived here mid-afternoon after passing Mummy hazelh onto my not-so-little sister at the Morpeth branch of Dobbies. (When an independent garden centre, this site was owned by the naughtiest boy in Daddy hazelh's class at primary school - allegedly, of course.) My sister is taking Mummy hazelh to a cottage in North Yorkshire for a week's holiday.
The staff at the inn booked dinner for us this evening at the restaurant just a couple of doors down the road. We liked it so much that we have rebooked for tomorrow and Wednesday. I may, however, ask for starter portions as my meal the next couple of nights. The portions at the restaurant are huge, and I didn't manage to finish this evening's mussels (blipped) on my own. I'm glad that Mr hazelh was able to help me out.
Oh, and we played Scrabble this afternoon. I won with a score of 381 to Mr hazelh's 333.
Exercise today: 1 hour on the exercise bike.
