Through the gardens

Started out going through the gardens to the Portrait Gallery, meeting a very friendly Rhodesian Ridgeback and its owner at the gate. Coffee and a meeting  to talk about illustrations.  

Down through the gardens to the pool for water exercises; back to the flat, then out again to the Lawnmarket for the NLS Foundation board meeting. The volume of tourists is down somewhat, but no doubt will pick up again pre-Christmas. 

Mild, 12C, overcast, dry all day. Pleasant to be out.
