Another journalist kidnapped in Syria. Sounds so usual as we face this kind of threads on a daily basis in our work...

This is a personal, however. I facilitated his trip to Syria and was the last person to see him "on the safe side". I know he's a mature man (and a very good photographer, not the journalist) who decided to go there on his own but I still feel guilty... Kidnappings in Syria are very specific - no one asks for ransom, no one (so far) posts nasty video on YouTube. No one knows what's going on with kidnapped people: journalists, foreign aid works but also Syrians... So wired... And now a friend of mine was kidnapped...

Gosh, I'm thinking too much... about him... about kidnapping threads my staff and me face in Somalia... I'm not ready to lose any more friends...
