Conference with a view

The view was nice but I found the conference stressful and long.  I'm not good at large social things and enjoy them even less since being unwell. 

Meanwhile John was at home with the girls and there was an accident with one of the gerbils.  B stood up to put one back into the enclosure and the other darted under her foot as she stood up and she caught her tail and about an inch of her tail fell off.  I told John to take her to the vets, which he did and the vet had to amputated the end of the tail bone off.  She seems OK thankfully. 

Got home at about 8, had dinner, settled the girls to bed and now I am ready for an early night.

Oh and the shopping didn't arrive last night.  I called them again at 9:30 to ask if it was coming and they said it was but I told them to cancel it as I didn't want to wait any longer.  They did send me a goodwill voucher to apologise.
