Football Pitches

Always busy with kids before our game. Which worked out very well, even although it was just six-a-side. A had done a great job of picking the teams, with a decent number of runners on both sides. They went 2-0 up but then I scored a long range shot from well outside the box, into the far corner, followed by G scoring our second from a corner but not with a header - a merry time of misrule. There was no more than a goal or two in it from then  on. I scored a tap-in from my more usual distance and had a couple of assists before, with the teams level I scored the winner - persistence paid off as two shots were blocked in quick succession but I put it away at the third time of asking. Not sure if I just had a better night or eating a bit more at lunch and a slice of bread and jam beforehand made a difference. L is away in Liverpool with her older sister. They saw Bob Dylan last night and did a Beatles tour today. Back tomorrow.
