Nick Cave
Through to that Glasgow - and as we couldn’t stay over because an old friend is arriving in the morning, and as it was too late a finish to get a train, I drove. Using myparkingspace to get a place near the Hydro which made me stupidly happy.
For who was playing but Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds. Astonishingly good. I really mean that. Astonishing. That band! By the time they strarted cranking in up on Jubilee Street they were unstoppable. Nick Cave is no longer a naughty boy; he may actually be the messiah.
And just for completeness, that setlist:
Frogs
Wild God
Song of the Lake
O Children
Jubilee Street
From Her to Eternity
Long Dark Night
Cinnamon Horses
Tupelo
Conversion
Bright Horses
Joy
I Need You
Carnage
Final Rescue Attempt
Red Right Hand
The Mercy Seat
White Elephant
Papa Won't Leave You, Henry
The Weeping Song
Into My Arms
