Beached
There were five of us swimming this morning and as usual I enjoyed both the swim and the chat. The drop in temperature is more noticeable and I reduced my swim to between the buoy and the pine tree.
However today's picture is of a different beach - one painted by Helen Glassford in her painting Spendthrift. We both really like her work and have purchased a few paintings over the years including this one, on a trip to Edinburgh.
Earlier this year we got a letter from the gallery asking if they could use the image as cover of the new cookbook which would be coming out later. We rather liked the idea and were delighted to receive an advance copy of the book (which is also rather nice).
After my swim I did some household chores, met up with the young person I am mentoring, carried out some banking duties for one of the groups I am involved in, chatted with my canan caraid (language buddy) and am about to attend on-line Cearcall Còmhraidh (Conversation Circle) with an interesting sounding speaker. A good start to the week,
