Colour blast

It was a tough choice today but as I've already blipped most of the other butterflies we saw today - gatekeeper, small skipper, brimstone, and my dragonfly, damselfly and bird photos weren't as good as I would have liked, I decided to go for the small tortoiseshell as it looked spectacular on this ragwort. They seem to be having a good year. We've been to Old Moor today. A good range of birds around as well as plenty of other types of flora and fauna but there were also a lot of small children not coping too well with the heat!
