A Porty Bath Tub
I’m not sure what this sea going tub is called. It looks to me like a hollowed out surf board propelled by two giant ladles. The tide was out and I was getting dried 100yds further up the beach when the man trundled it into the water and I left before he went anywhere. The conditions were ideal for being so low in the water. It was calm and there was no wind.
I was on a solo swim as it was before sunrise and there were initially no volunteers to join me. However another BlueTit did arrive as I was just out of the water. I watched out for her in the sea as I drank my ginger tea. I have up until this point never thought of having a hot drink but now that I’ve started carrying a flask, I must say it does help with the cold. It could be the “shivery bite” next.
I wish I could say I was spirited home in the blink of an eye but crossing town is a slow process at any time far less at rush hour. At least my two buses came relatively quickly and I had time to have a 9:30am coffee at Söderberg - the first at that time since the end of July.
