Hummingbird Heaven

Cuphea, cigar plant, cigar flower, firecracker plant, Mexican cigar….  I’m not sure of the exact variety. It was a rescue from a friend, arriving here as a soggy rootball that I didn’t even think was alive.  It is very happy in its forever home.

Lazy day, caught between the time change and Tuesday’s election, nothing is quite as it should be. The big news of the day is that we turned the furnace on a few minutes ago. Held out as long as we could. Sounds like it’s working.
