Me and my Boss

My Boss and I met a while ago to discuss things to do for my internship with WVN. Today is 7/24/2013. I successfully commuted in California, after several practice lessons with my Dad. I remember when I first arrived in California for college, I thought, "This place is so ugly! What the hell are those palm trees?? The desert looks so dead! Everyone's cars are so nice! People hang out at malls and the architecture all looks the same!" It wasn't at all like the quiet, green, liberal college town I grew up in. But now, a few years later, I've decided that California has a different kind of beauty to it. I'm finally okay with palm trees, and the beach is really nice. The mountains are nice, too. The closeness of the sun, it's almost constant presence, coupled with the air from the coast, is undeniably divine. After my meeting with my boss, we went to a Mexican restaurant. It was a "my life is so California" moment. And even better, I was pretty happy about it.
