Birthday Party Day
Ellie had her school friends here for her Birthday Party early this afternoon. Ellie had great ideas for the games and crafts. The six little 6—or 7-year-olds seemed to get along great and had fun. It was a crammed-full two hours.
Then an hour after the kids left the family party happened. It seemed like a good idea to have them on the same day with the same fruits and vegetables and other snacks left over from the first party available for the next party. The second party was an interesting group of people. Ellie's birth father has been talking to her via Facetime, but today was the first time she met him in person. He is as quiet as her mom is loud. but he seemed nice; I expected he would be okay since Neary was only with him briefly because he was boring. Boring is good, compared to the guys she usually gets involved with.
Ellie's half-sister who was adopted at birth and her wonderful family were here too. Of course, Ellie's mom came but she brought two children of one of her friends...very strange? Then Ron was here and our other son, Ellie's Grandpa, and her Grandma. Diverse group for sure. Ellie had a wonderful day and enjoyed every minute of it, but the day was not without drama. Ugh. Ellie is used to drama where her mom is concerned. Oh, this is silly Saturday.... the photo isn't strange, but the evening was.
I am ready for bed!!
