This is the middle of May, isn't it??

Over west today. Strong winds overnight. When I left house, I saw a wheely bin which had blown across a road, and lying on the other side of a parked car. I thought it had been done by the local neds, until I saw a fridge freezer which had been put out for collection, that had been blown over. I was wary of looking under it just incase something/somebody's feet stuck out.

Went to the local church fete for coffee and homebaking. saw that most of the jewellery I'd handed in had been sold. Bought a few books and a bottle of homemade ginger wine for £1. Met up with sister-in-law and her mum. Waited in the wind and rain for my brother to collect us. I really must teach him how to tell the time. His 10 minutes was a lot longer than it should have been.

Discovered the benefits of sugar soap. My brother suggested I use it to clean paintwork prior to it being repainted. His parting words (almost an afterthought) on the phone were that it was caustic- "be careful - it might corrode the rubber gloves." It doesn't mention the ingredients on the bottle, nor does it have a warning on it. It's brilliant - makes it so easy.
