William Glackens and my family
My son and grandson at The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, MA, standing in front of a painting done by my Great Uncle, William Glackens.
This 1912 oil on canvas is titled, "Italo-American Celebration, Washington Square". William Glackens was an American Impressionist who was one of a few that painted abstract realism in the early 1900's. You can read more here: https://www.creativelenna.com/william-glackens
Such a wonderful photo for all of us to see together. It was a surprise because I didn't know the museum had this painting on display!
Back-blip of a day I wanted to remember here, on my journal.
