Chilli 10k

Low cloud and drizzle first thing but by the time we'd got to Auchterarder it was improving and was mostly dry for the race, the sun even made a few half-hearted attempts to come through.
This link shows how the race got its name (at least, I hope it works). We basically ran down to the bottom of the hill, under the A9 and then up (some steep) the edge of the valley in the pic until we'd gone about 5k, turned onto a different track and came back down (with a few ups). A bit of road, some good trails, a bit of mud, 2 fords and a slippery, slidey final 400m uphill. I was pleased with my time, even if I was at least 8 mins slower than the winner of the age group.
Change of shoes and some more clothes on and off to a cafe for a good lunch before returning home.
Mr Rat went for a cycle as, by the time he'd decided he'd like to run it, it was full.
