Time

One of the most deflating things is renewing a passport. The old photograph now looks positively flattering. The other photograph which gave a bit of a jolt is the blip, a cheat because it wasn’t taken by me. I can’t believe Leo has morphed from the new born I saw in Arran only 4 weeks ago to this. The thought did strike me that it was possibly a ruse to see if I recognised my grandson from some random baby. I think in time he will give his feisty sister a run for her money.

And sadly, RIP Dr Janey Godley who made most of us laugh out loud.
