Coprinus comatus

These amazing fungi look all the more incredible the older they get. As they rot, they appear to drip ink and are also known as shaggy ink caps. But my favourite name is Lawyer's Wig.  

Apparently, when they are young and simple white columns, they are edible. But I don't fancy trying out the theory.
