At the end of the day
I popped over to Fremington Quay earlier to see what, if any, birds were about. The river would soon be rising again as the tide came in but there were remarkably few birds around. This egret was hunting and managing to catch a few teeny mouthfuls.
The extra was the view down the river towards the estuary; there were some redshanks, oystercatchers and some plovers around. The gull was sitting on the fence - hoping to catch a snack from amen who was enjoying a cuppa and a biscuit whilst admiring the view!
Dull and cold, with a hint of a maybe sunset.....
