Hallo…
…ween.
Day two of going over to help Josh & Natalie. Yesterday it was just us but today her parents also came over and two workman were there to make a start on removing the old boiler and putting the new boiler in a different space. Pipes were also starting to be put in. Probably still be another week before they are plumbed in.
We had a day outside as it would have been awkward to get much done with the workman in. Natalie’s dad was on bonfire duty, burning the wood from the large playhouse knocked down yesterday. Her mum was busy clearing the patio of weeds etc. The rest of us were in the front drive trying to clear as much weed, brambles etc as possible. Two old mattresses that had been left in the front were collected by rubbish collectors too. They have a very large frontage and the drive won’t be done for a while yet but we certainly made it look better than it was.
We stopped to pick up fish and chips on the way home where I took this blip. There is a decking area outside the restaurant and they had a bowl of sweets. When a group of children, including older ones, came to take a sweet. They didn’t take one each but emptied the whole bowl. The people working thought it was funny but I wasn’t impressed. Showing my age ;-D
I also came home to some flowers delivered, a belated birthday pressie from my friend B. A nice surprise.
