High Dam Tarn
When I met up with IntoTheHills a few weeks back, we resolved to get out for a walk and, by our standards, this has come to pass pretty quickly!
We met at the car park a few miles north of Newby Bridge, this morning, and, with his charming pooch, Missy, in tow, headed up through the woods to High Dam Tarn.
Despite living in or near the Lake District for over thirty years, I really have never explored it anywhere enough, and I'd never been up to the tarn before.
It was a great walk, with an energetic start, and some beautiful views, even if they were a little truncated by the mist!
And it was, of course, lovely to catch up with IttH. I think we've known one another for a shade under twenty years: he was a great support to me when I started my business, and we became good friends, even if we're ones that don't see one another often enough.
Amongst many things, we discussed his Wellness Walks charity, which is a starling accomplishment. He is an amazing man.
