Took this photo from just outside where the Peripheral Vascular Clinic used to be in the old Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh. When I was new, back in the late 1980s, I once asked my colleagues if it was called the Peripheral Vascular Clinic because it was on the edge of the hospital. But no, it turned out that peripheral vascular is a thing.
