Mum’s Plant

I rescued this plant from Mums house when she moved into the care home, it’s quite a sorry specimen but I’ve repotted it in some new orchid compost & it’s decided to bloom.
Started tidying the spare bedroom ready for guests arriving soon.
C & I went to an Audience with Monty Don tonight at Malvern. He was very entertaining in his laid back way, he talked about his early days when he & his wife had a successful jewellery business & how they bought Longmeadow when their business collapsed & they had no money left, he explained how the garden has evolved & talked about his dogs & also how each episode is planned & filmed. He filled two hours quite easily & I’m sure we could have listened to some more.
