Pretty Guernsey

I left R’s at dawn and drove down to Poole to catch the fast boat home. Lovely calm crossing. We stopped at Guernsey first. I have always loved the harbour view of pretty St Peterport, and although it was cloudy and I couldn’t get an unobstructed shot, I’m sure you can see what I mean.

An hour or so later we entered not so pretty St Helier and I drove five minutes to get home! It is rather good to be here. Bath, candles, a pending G&T and will see daughter J when she pops in on her way home from work. I have treated her to some duty free perfume.
