Not what I expected ... (FF01_2024)

I was not expecting to see bees flying at Upton House this afternoon - but with quite mild temperatures and minimal breeze, I guess it is a late opportunity for collecting nectar?

There are several groups of these dahlia flowers up next to the house providing a burst of colour on an otherwise dreary high pressure gloom day.
