Water of Leith
Along at the 'Water of Leith' Visitor Centre cafe earlier this afternoon - I always like walking along that stretch of the nearby walkway ...
... means that I get to pass one of my favourite spots - as the snap shows: with The Water of Leith flowing below, one of the Slateford Aqueduct arches some 75-feet above (there are eight arches in total), and they carry the Union Canal along for some 500-feet, and you can also see a sizeable viaduct behind, which carries the Edinburgh-Shotts-Glasgow railway line over the river!
It really is a wonderful 'junction' of the two ribbons of water, both of which run right across Edinburgh, and both with footpaths/towpaths for their complete lengths :-)
