Murder mystery night
Backblipped Friday 1st November
Woke just before 3am and waited to hear movement from the spare room. When I did, I got up to make sure they were organised to head to the airport. As Henry sleeps in their bedroom at home, I went through to the spare room to keep Henry quiet. Surprisingly he went back to sleep straightaway and we had a good few hours until I took both dogs out for their morning walk.
The trip to the pet shop went off without a hitch and Henry now had a snazzy new collar and a tag with our details on it.
A walk in the park and the afternoon disappeared in a flurry of getting a pasta bake with meatballs ready for dinner and changing the bed in the spare room as my friend Susan is coming for dinner before we head to a murder mystery night at the Golf club.
Dinner eaten, Mr PHL ran me over to the club early as I’d agreed to be the ticket taker at the door. The attendees started arriving thick and fast so I called home and suggested they drive over sooner than planned.
A fun evening with the actors all staying in character during the questioning by all of us. We enjoyed some tasty sandwiches and cakes at the interval whilst we questioned the cast.
Our table guessed the murderer but as several others did too, no one enjoyed the tub of sweeties which was the prize for guessing correctly.
Susan and I decided another glass of wine was called for as a nightcap but we called it a night around midnight.
