My dear spouse called me "robo-granny" when I stepped out of the nurse's room all tooled up with my 24-hour ambulatory BP measuring machine. The dogs were quite alarmed by the noise it made every half hour, and that and the intense pressure on my arm kept me up most of the night. Can't complain though - at least I'm getting tests and not waiting months for NHS treatment. This isn't a private clinic, by the way, just the state health service which I get free as a resident. Also no prescription charges - just pay a small % of the cost of any meds.
