A quick lazy backblip; I'm sure I've blipped this view before! At least it was fairly decent weather today. To A and B's for dinner; a nice evening and I was very abstemious. Still celebrating this morning's larger weight loss than expected -- I'm well over halfway to my target now!

Desperately awful scenes from Valencia; there are definitely questions to be asked about why, despite days of warnings from the Spanish meteorology service, and a red alert on Tuesday morning, the regional government didn't send out emergency messages to phones until 8 pm, when many people were already up to their necks in water, driving home from work or shopping. When we had widespread but less dramatic flooding here in 1999, it took ten years to repair all the damage.
