What a Pickle!
What to do with a neglected red cabbage? Answer: Dump the crappy outer leaves, shred the rest, pack it into an old dill-pickle jar, top up with vinegar and brine, stow in the fridge. Easy peasy and we’ll see the results in a week or two, though what we’re going to do with pickled cabbage is anybody’s guess.
As if that wasn’t enough excitement for one day, we also went out and bought a new mattress and which might be here before Christmas as a wee present to ourselves. We’ve been good - we deserve it!
And to finish things off I had tenpin match tonight. A hard won couple of points for the team might just come in handy later in the season. On the way home I just missed a tram and then just missed a bus. Seemed about right since I’d been missing tenpins all evening.
