Waiting…… and waiting

Back to the hospital today at 11 for another xray, was hopeful that this would be the last, then just another couple of weeks in plaster.

Not to be, it showed my fracture has moved, so it needs surgery….. a titanium plate to pin it :-(

Once that was established, they decided to get all my pre op stuff done, MRSA swabbed, then up to Bloods, had to go back at 14.50, then up to Trauma Assessment Unit, where I took todays blip, for pre op paperwork, they said 1-2 hours wait as Doc was in A&E, 3.5 hours later he came up with the papers, all done in 5 mins, got back to C’s at 7 pm.

They are trying to get me in within next 4/5 days as it’s already been in plaster for 3 weeks……. post op requires a further 6-8 weeks in plaster :-(((

That’s me taken care of until Xmas, already bored out of my brains, just not the same as being at home, driving out & about whenever you please, talk about frustrating arghhhh!!
