Hag
I decided it shouldn't just be the children who dress up for Halloween. So I set out the sweets in a large saucepan/cauldron and made myself look scary (not difficult these days). Every time I heard children chapping at the door, I switched off the lights and answered holding a lantern in my hand, fumbling and stumbling with the cauldron. I think I even frightened some teenagers! I didn't mean to.
Some children were even wearing and cardboard boxes. That's old school, Blue Peter style. My favourite: use what you've got. Maybe next year I'll host a spooky stories party, anms I did around five years ago.
