Today we had our end of year bird monitoring meeting at Longshaw. It was good to know that despite the very wet Spring, a record number of Pied Flycatchers (308) fledged and were ringed from our nest boxes.
There were also a record number of monitoring volunteers and ringers at the meeting, as well as Ranger Mark and his dog, River.
