Ngorongoro to Central Serengeti
Back blipping
Michael wasn’t well overnight & I didn’t feel too great in the morning, it was an effort to walk to the dining room for breakfast. I think we might have suffered from food poisoning at lunch yesterday. Too bad we didn’t get the benefit of the lovely camp. It was suggested, Michael could see a doctor on the way to the next camp, but we had booked & paid for a stop at Olduvai George Museum (US $ 36 each), en-route. At the museum, neither of us were in the form to absorb the information available. Michael was observed by another tourist, looking under the weather. It turns out she was German & her husband was a doctor. He gave a bit of advice & said we should get medication for Michael. Jackson took us to a village, where the doctor saw Michael & gave him tablets to deal with the “toilet troubles”. The consultation & medication were free, amazingly. Although Michael made a donation. I wasn’t 100%, but didn’t ask for any medication. “Big Mistake”!
At a small lake White Pelican, various Ibis. Also saw Kori Bustard (see extra), Golden Jackal, Hyena & a male Lion, along the way. Just when we turned in towards our next camp we saw a Leopard Tortoise (see extra). I only have 33 decent camera photos from today, reflecting how under the weather I felt.
Arrived at Kirurumu Serengeti Central Camp, for 3 nights. I could only face toast for dinner, the staff were worried. Michale was on plain rice & raw carrots.
