Lavelle
I'm fairly certain that this one has occupied various spots on the beach for 10-12 years and has had a supporting role in ancient blips of the real boat. Can I find it? No, I cannot. But being made of fibreglass it has survived where the other (may it rest in peace) has long since reverted back to dust and ash. Nothing of it remains except memories and photographs.
Anyway, the real point was to scratch the itch to sit making coffee. For relaxed and silent brewing, the little Trangia triangle, which has featured here before (and not even my most boring blip) was ideal. While the water heated I could sit and watch an old GPS (related to one of the week's more bizarre news stories and doesn't even involve the senile old orange man) try and fail to connect to satellites.
Also, a trip to the sawmill to buy ash to make shelves for Ewan. The weekend's work. And two free beers for the local shop.
