Beautiful start to the day and we lingered to enjoy it. Possibly too long given the headwind and long portage! 
Lovely paddling, stunning scenery. Its such a unique landscape. Then a big old portage (walk between paddle-able sections). 
The downhill side wasn't as downhill as rhe map suggested and the ground was that classic scottish tussock / heather/ big combo. Much slower going than hoped. 

The dark caught us up and as me and M had pushed on hard to get to the end we found an ok camp spot, short of the loch but very cool and decided to be done for the day. 
We ended up with boats scattered through the valley but people and bags in the right place. Bit more 5* tarp work and we'd made a home for the night after a hard day.
