Coastal erosion
We lifted the last of the potatoes today then went to see what Storm Ashley did the beach at the end of our machair. A good chunk away, probably about 5 metres this year, and more expected to go in the next couple of decades. The coast here has been changing for a long time but the pace is accelerating.
Rowan is standing on a massive tree trunk that’s been washed up. Not unusual for trees from the other side of the Atlantic to turn up here.
