chess table

I’ve no idea if this was part of the villa when B & M bought it, or if it was a later whim. I love the table so much, I was even inclined - during Covid and after watching The Queen’s Gambit - to take up chess myself. Of course, I started about 55 years too late, would have to spend a big chunk of time each day learning how to play properly, and all in all, this was another project that didn’t really get off the ground. I did do a lot of the beginner lessons on chess.com and learned a little, so who knows… maybe I’ll devote my seventies to chess.
Nice day: massage in the morning, tennis in the afternoon, now waiting to meet friends for dinner.
