Although it's not that far, and you see it at least once a week on some TV series or film (there was filming going on today for something), I've never been to the Barbican. Today I changed that. If you like brutalist architecture and concrete (and I do) it's amazing. If you don't, it's probably just another posh housing complex. £2m will buy you a two/three bed duplex. No garden but a small balcony and double height windows. 

After wandering round for a bit we went for aa very nice and excessive lunch at the Quality Chop House. I love it there but I am now so full I can't possibly face eating for at least 24 12 hours.
