Grandma's house!
We've had a lovely lunch and afternoon in Flamborough with my sister and her friend before driving an hour to our overnight stop in South Cave. After a check of the weather forecast, we changed our planned early tea for a late tea and marched through the village, spotting Grandma's bungalow, my auntie and uncle's old house, and here, Grandma's original house. I have very fond memories of this house and the autumn night with smoke from fires wafting between the houses brought them all back.
Our destination was a quick pub stop in the part of South Cave I never knew existed. No wonder I was confused when I drove through here last time and didn't recognise anything. To me, the world of South Cave was Grandma's house to auntie and uncle's - it seems there was a world beyond the other way!
We hot-footed it back as the first few spots of rain started metres from the van. Hunkered down and enjoyed being back in the van.
