‘Distillation’

No! It's not a photo of the surface of the Moon, Mars, or anywhere else extraterrestrial!

It's much nearer to home! It's the lid of a frying pan in the kitchen filled with boiling water, and the tiny droplets attached to its underside are of water that has been distilled and purified by boiling - a basic example of alchemy. 

Making gold is a bit more complicated!
