Anns a' choile

Another beautiful morning here today which started with a swim. I think the look was actually even nicer than it was yesterday. I really do appreciate having such a wonderful spot to swim in within walking distance.

Once back home and "properly" dressed (I change into the bare minimum so as to be decent when walking home !), I headed out for a meander through the Black Spout Woods.  Every time the wind gusted I was treated to a shower of leaves - the trees there at least will soon be bare.  I did some yoga on my return.  I then "undid" all that healthy living but having the remainder of yesterday's cheese scones with soup for lunch.

I finished my Gaelic homework for tormorrow - it's getting harder (which is, I suppose, to be expected). Not only do we have to translate idiomatic sayings but we were also asked to express them differently in Gaelic. A good test of learning.

I start an additional on-line class this evening - Scottish Place Name.  A desire to understand the meaning behind place names was one of my reasons for starting to learn Gaelic and this course (through Sàbhal Mòr) will allow me to explore this in more detail, as well as helping with pronunciation and getting to grips with the genitive.

This afternoon.
