Synchronised preening....

We revisited a favourite country park of mine today. It was HOT and like a rain forest in places, and looked very different from my last visit back at the beginning of June, due to seasonal changes and the effects of the heat on the grass. But still a beautiful place to me.

The cygnets and ducklings had really grown but were still very much under mum's orders. We sat by the river in the shade and relative cool of a willow tree and watched these ducks who, without saying a word to each other, seemed to do everything in synch. Just made me smile to watch them!

And this evening the new little prince has been taken home to Kensington Palace and his parents and grandparents are all very happy. I hope the new family have a good night.
