Woken this morning at 6.30 by the sound of torrential rain and thunder.........flashes of lightning.......lasted for a couple of hours.

The day has been hot and humid....but productive...booked the car in for it's safety recall....just a switch that needs changing...about 30 minutes and free of charge..........booked a dentist appointment for next Tuesday...and booked my speed awareness course for Monday 12th August.

No fishing tonight.....just before we were due to start the Heavens opened....downpour of rain and hail........the fishing platforms were too slippy to allow the kids onto them.....not really a problem cancelling....only 3 turned up...the weather must have put them off.

The boys and I had a wander and a chat.....the Sun came out.....we all got away early.

There have been some good suggestions at today's meeting about Dad's safeguarding........if it all comes off it will make things a lot easier for him...and provide some protection for the whole area from con artists. I'll fill you in with the details as and when things get done...the first thing is that his home care package will carry on so we can be sure he's getting his medication every morning and evening and getting fed properly.
