Too Warm for Wool
MONDAY
Thank you for all the stars and hearts on yesterday's entry.
It was a mild October morning when I set out for a walk to the Y Graig Nature Reserve on the outskirts of the village. Perched on a limestone outcrop and surrounded by agricultural land, the reserve features a mix of oak, beech, and elm woodlands.
Climbing to the upper levels, the trees give way to open grassland and breathtaking views of the Vale of Clwyd. The mountains of Eryri, the Great Orme and the Irish Sea coast can be seen in the distance (see extra).
From the top, I traced the footpaths around Hafod-y-Coed, and decided to walk down and explorie the area before making my way back home—a total of 6 km.
It will be November in a few day's time yet it I was far too hot walking in a woolly jumper.
The main photo features sheep in one of the hillside fields adjacent to Y Graig with dark clouds looming in the background. Rain arrived mid-afternoon.
