An ordinary life....

How much is that...

Ele and I were supposed to be getting up really early this morning to go out shopping sightseeing with the plan to be back just after lunch to let the guys out for a round of golf.

I set my alarm for seven but needn't have bothered as we were shaken from our bed at 6.30am by the loudest clap of thunder I have ever heard! I honestly thought the house was falling down. There followed a violent storm that was thankfully fairly short lived but rumbled on in the distance for ages. It was forecast to return late afternoon, just when D &K were due to be halfway round the golf course.

Shopping trip and golf abandoned, we had lunch at the house then headed off just before 3pm to Tranche Sur Mer, a little seaside town we've visited many times before. Thought we'd make it back before the afternoon storm began.

In the event there was no afternoon storm so we had a lovely afternoon sitting outside eating crepes with various fillings (mine had caramel sauce, caramel ice cream and chant illy cream. Yummmmm :-)

I managed a little wander before the old knee started aching, so I retired to the town square to people watch (and try my hand at street photography. I was crap at it, which explains today's shot) whilst the rest if the gang went on a further wander.

Today's plans now taking place tomorrow so I'm off to bed as have to be up at 7am. Ridiculous time to get up when you're on holiday but its amazing how motivated I am when there's a town nearby with a good jewellers and handbag shop ;-))
