Doggone
Mother, daughters and the dog out for an exploration of the Royal Mile. Perhaps they are trying to escape news of the latest royal sprog.
This was taken from the Old Tolbooth Wynd, looking through the tunnel under the Canongate Tolbooth, as they crossed the road in search of a sandwich or perhaps even a hot dog. The Tolbooth itself was built in 1591 and this is where the tolls or public dues were paid and it also served as the council house, courtroom and prison for the Conongate.
The sandwich shop serves lots of things apparently
