Orrest Head.

The weather has been damp and mizzly but with the odd shaft of light here and there. The mood of the day has certainly been more bright than the skies!

A great stroll up and around to Orrest Head including spotting the pumpkins on a trail as we went.

It was then lovely to meander down through Windermere and Bowness nipping in the many little shops.

Once at the lake, it's a short walk to the Hawkshead ferry to hop across the water...where a trip up to Claife Viewing Platform is a must whatever to weather. The stained glass window is just beautifully done.

All to quickly, it was time to set off back to Yorkshire after a really great time in The Lakes. :-)
