The waiting game.

I spotted this Alstroemeria at the weekend, the first flower of the year for this variety while others in the garden have flowered normally. Maybe it's because it was confined to a container? With a misty murky day forecast and the prospect of cooler nights ahead, I cut it this morning before the rain came to see if the buds will open in the conservatory?
The forecast proved accurate and a miserable day followed allowing for much needed domestic duties to take precedence!
