Stile

The word stile is Anglo Saxon and is thought to have evolved from the Old English stigel "set of steps for getting over a fence". This stile is one of my favourites as it makes it so easy to get across the field. I remember when there wasn't one and scrambling through the wire wasn't fun.

I went along this morning to find the horses but they seem to have been moved. I had a bag full of apple slices for them too. Maybe tomorrow.
