English apples from Kent

I was thrilled to see these English apples in the supermarket. They look and taste like the apples of my childhood. Crisp and sweet and very large. Delicious with a slice of vintage cheddar.
They remind me of the apples that we used to go 'scrumping' for. Once we were caught by the local Bobby who said, "You do know that if you knocked on Mr Jones's door, he would give you some apples". Not quite the same sense of adventure though!!
